The Faithfull Soft Grip Bevel Edge Chisel in 10mm (3/8in) is a versatile size that's perfect for general woodworking tasks and fine joinery work. This blade width offers an excellent balance between precision and practicality, making it suitable for cutting small mortises, paring joints, and detailed trimming work. Manufactured from drop-forged chrome vanadium steel, the blade is hardened and tempered to exacting standards to ensure the cutting edge remains sharper for longer. The bevelled edge design allows you to work effectively in tight corners and on fine work. The handle features an anti-slip, soft grip coating for comfortable control during extended use, and is fitted with a steel striking cap that provides added protection when used with a mallet or an occasional hammer blow. The blade is ground to an angle of 25° which increases to 30° at the leading edge for optimal cutting performance. For complete accuracy when sharpening, use a honing guide (FAIHG) and an oil, diamond or whetstone.
