The Stabila 81S Magnetic Torpedo Spirit Level is a compact, professional-grade tool designed for accurate levelling in tight spaces and on metal surfaces. Its strong cast aluminium T-profile construction provides exceptional durability whilst remaining easy to handle during extended use. The particularly slender trapezoidal bevelled shape makes this torpedo level ideal for working in confined areas where standard levels cannot fit. The die-cast frame features a precision milled measuring face with protective noses to prevent damage, ensuring long-term accuracy on site. Integrated magnets mounted in the milled measuring surface provide secure hands-free attachment to scaffolding, steel beams, and metal pipework. This level is supplied with two vials for horizontal and plumb measurements, delivering accuracy of 0.029° (0.5mm/m) in normal position and 0.043° (0.75mm/m) in overhead position. Type 81SREM models feature rare earth magnets offering five times the holding strength of standard magnets, making them particularly suitable for demanding scaffold and steelwork applications.
