Level 2 Safeguarding Children

It is a statutory requirement for anyone who works with children to have up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding policies, legislation, and guidance so they can proactively focus on keeping them safe from harm and act on any concerns about their welfare. This Level 2 Safeguarding Children course teaches learners everything they need to know, by law, about safeguarding. It gives learners the skills and knowledge they need to be able to identify the signs and symptoms of abuse and report to the appropriate authorities if they suspect a child is being abused. The course has been updated to be compliant with new Keeping Children Safe in Education 2022 legislation and how this applies in the workplace or when working with children and young people. Why take this Level 2 Safeguarding Children course Our Level 2 Safeguarding Children training gives you a deeper understanding of safeguarding issues and how to effectively report them when abuse is suspected. On completion of this Level 2 Safeguarding Children course, you will be able to: Apply the changes to practice made over the past three years to your work Identify different levels of harm and follow the appropriate safeguarding procedures Collect safeguarding children information from both a local and national context Safeguarding Children Level 2 is underpinned by the principles of: Working together to safeguard children Keeping children safe in education To help you apply your knowledge in everyday life, we have used real-world scenarios. These scenarios and the supporting case studies will enable you to see how your training can be applied in your role. Who should take this course This Safeguarding Children Level 2 online course is suitable for a range of roles which include frequent or regular work with vulnerable children. Some of these roles may include: Teachers Teaching Assistants Childminders Daycare Assistants Doctors Nurses Care Workers Health and Social Care Support Workers GP Reception or Practice Managers Housing Officers School Governors Trustees Advocacy Workers Community Safety Officers Non-Clinical Staff Accreditation The content of this Safeguarding Children Level 2 course has been independently certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines. Duration The course takes approximately 1-2 hours to complete. You can proceed as quickly or slowly as you like, and there is no limit on how long you can take to make your way through the learning material. Entry requirements There are no specific entry requirements for this Safeguarding Level 2 course. Test and certificate At the end of the course, learners will need to complete an online test consisting of 15 multiple-choice questions. Learners are required to achieve a 75% pass mark, and, if necessary, may attempt the test six times at no extra cost. If learners do not achieve the 75% pass mark within six attempts, further attempts may be given by contacting our support team. Learners will be able to download a Safeguarding Children Level 2 digital certificate on successful completion of the test. This can be printed, and we suggest you keep it for your records.
