Safeguarding Everyone Level 2

Anyone who works with vulnerable people has several key responsibilities to ensure that any suspected abuse or neglect is reported to the appropriate level. This course will give you the knowledge and skills to ensure you can help safeguard not only those you are directly responsible for, but everyone you have contact with whilst carrying out your duties. Who needs safeguarding training? If you work with vulnerable children, young people, or adults, it is a statutory requirement to be knowledgeable about safeguarding policies, legislation, and guidance. This allows you to focus on keeping vulnerable people safe from harm proactively and maintain the ability to act on safety and welfare concerns. What level of safeguarding training do I need? We offer safeguarding courses from Level 1 to Level 3. Our Level 2 safeguarding training is suitable for a wide range of roles, including those that regularly work with vulnerable individuals. What is included in this course?  This course covers the following safeguarding topics:  An overview of safeguarding  Why is safeguarding important  Serious case reviews and Bichard reports  The latest legislation and guidance  Multi-agency working  Jargon and key terms  National and local contexts  Types of abuse  Signs and symptoms of abuse  Reducing the likelihood of abuse  Whistleblowing  Roles and responsibilities  Recognising abuse  How to deal with suspected/disclosed abuse  Record-keeping and recording  This safeguarding Level 2 course takes e-learning to the next level with immersive real-world scenarios to help professionals apply knowledge to everyday life. On completion of this course learners will be able to:  Apply recent changes in safeguarding practice to your work Identify different levels of harm and follow the appropriate safeguarding procedures  Collect safeguarding information from both a local and national context Testing and certification At the end of the course, there is a test consisting of 25 multiple choice questions, for which a pass mark of at least 75% is required. Learners can have as many attempts at the test as is needed at no extra cost. After achieving a pass mark of 75%, learners will be able to download and print a CPD approved Virtual College safeguarding everyone level 2 certificate for their records. Course duration The safeguarding everyone level 2 training course should take 1-2 hours to complete, but this depends on how quickly you absorb the training material. Progress is recorded throughout by the Virtual College Learning Management System, meaning you can take as long as you need to work your way through the course. Entry requirements There are no specific entry requirements for this level 2 safeguarding everyone course.
