Prison island tours

A short and smooth 30 minute boat ride from Unguja (Zanzibar) lies Changuu Island, famously know as Prison Island, even though the Prison was never actually used to house prisoners. The main use of the Island was to house troublesome slaves that were brought from the mainland of Tanganyika so as to prevent their escape before being sold to their Arabian buyers at auction.
