Product Description

Francesca dell'Oro, Sainte + Figue Parfum 100 ml, Unisex Fruity Perfume. Francesca dell'Oro Sainte + Figue Parfum 100 ml is a unisex fruity perfume. This fragrance begins in the shadow of a sin, but not just any sin... but sin with a capital S. With Sainte + Figue Eau de Parfum, Francesca dell'Oro wanted to explore the history of an emblematic and fascinating fruit, as well as its strongly symbolic rich in contrasts religious and prophetic meanings. We are talking, of course, about the fig, a fruit as sacred and revered as its plant. For ancient philosophers, its link with knowledge is undisputed and celebrated throughout the ages: an icon of knowledge, of clarity for the mind, a fruit capable of stimulating curiosity and physical strength. Eastern religions venerate this sacred plant as well: in fact, the Buddhists attribute to 'standing under a fig tree' the true link with faith and deep wellbeing. The fig, however, is a fruit with a double meaning: it is no coincidence that the biblical narrative mentions the fig tree by name as the entity that presides over birth, but also leads to damnation, and Adam and Eve used its leaves to cover their shame. Sainte + Figue Eau de Parfum explores all the darker, more voluptuous and multifaceted sides of the fig. The packaging: it is impossible not to spend a few words on the marvellous box of this perfume! The new graphics are inspired by ancient Roman frescoes (in particular, the Casa del Frutteto ones, in Pompei). The image, hand-drawn in watercolour by Francesca Manetta, was created especially for the new box and is full of references and colours linked to the symbolism of the fig tree and the snake. A Garden of Eden, where the fig tree stands as a link between heaven and earth, between human and divine.
