Product Description

Palazzo Farnese in Caprarola is one of the best examples of late Renaissance mansionin Italy: it is an imposing pentagonal fortress, while the interior is decorated with splendid frescoes and grotesques from the 16th century. You will admire the architectural masterpiece designed by Vignola, great architect of the Italian Renaissance and also author of the frescoes that embellish the majestic Scala Regia, the great staircase used by Cardinal Alessandro Farnese to reach the apartments on the main floor. Enjoy then the splendid decorations of the state rooms and reception hall, the echo that resounds in the Sala degli Angeli (Hall of the Angels) and the impressive Italian Renaissance garden, enriched by statues, fountains, chestnut woods and cypress trees. The tour will end in the Renaissance gardens of the Villa. Please note that the Palace is in the city of Caprarola (near Viterbo), NOT in Rome.
