Product Description

Add a piece of history into your home with this wall tapestry. From an original wall tapestry by E.Burne Jones - J.H.Dearl - William Morris& Co, commissioned by William Knox D'Arcy to decorate his house, Stanmore in Middlesex. These are the Knights of the Round Table bidden to seek Holy Grail. Against a background of a dark forest, the Ladies of the court bid adieu to the knights. King Arthur was an enigmatic leader of the 6th Century, but in the Middle Ages his exploits enlarged upon with such romantic imaginary that by the 12th, when the Knights had been linked to the quest for the Holy Grail, had become the legendary hero of European chivalry. Key Features: Made in Britain Hand woven tapestry Please Note: Tapestry rod not included. Fabrics by their nature are flexible, during storage, humidity and temperature may occasionally affect their shape and also cause creasing. To help a tapestry hang better we recommend using a dry iron on a 'Cotton' setting. Lightly iron the tapestry from the centre towards the edges [on the face]. In very extreme cases the tapestry can be stretched by pulling the panel gently by hand, diagonally.
