SIerra Madre Highland bird and Tuito

Located one hour away from Puerto Vallarta is El Tuito, settled in the green mountains of Cabo Corrientes municipality. The mountains surrounding El Tuito are a transition zone for various bird species, many species in southern Mexico and Central America have their northernmost limits in this region. Climate here is temperate throughout the year and among the vegetation of the area conifers are abundant as well as oaks and walnuts, along with various fruit trees that provide food and home to the wide variety of birds that we can find here, among which stand out the yellow grosbeak, the blue mockingbird, the elegant and the Citreoline trogon and the endemic flagellated flycatcher.
