House Sparrow Mug by Elwin van der Kolk

This mug features beautifully illustrated drawings by dutch artist Elwin Van der Kolk. The mug includes drawings of an adult House Sparrow and young chick and they can be found on either side of the mug. This mug is one of a set of 8. The set includes illustrations of different birds you might find in your garden. Elwin van der Kolk, the Dutch biologist and nature painter, was fascinated by the natural world around him from an early age and a large part of his childhood was spent watching and drawing birds. In his work he tries to capture nature in a way that encourages the viewer to both admire and protect our precious wildlife.
