Dryopteris erythrosora var. koidzumiana

Autumn Ferns are favoured for their vibrant newly emerging fronds and Dryopteris erythrosora var. koidzumiana is a particularly colourful selection. Easily distinguished by its vivid red fronds that transform to glowing tones of gold, pink and copper before maturing to green. Also known as the ?Rosy Buckler Fern?, this elegant hardy perennial forms clumps of triangular, glossy fronds that are more dainty and uniform than the species. An easy-to-grow, semi-evergreen fern that will thrive in moist, acidic soils and makes a wonderful addition to woodland gardens, or grown in groups to create attractive ground cover. Alternatively, grow in a container and use to brighten a shady corner of the home during the coldest months of the year. Height and spread: 50cm (20in).
