Verbena rigida

This award-winning half-hardy perennial produces dense clusters of scented purple blooms, which sit upon sturdy stems throughout summer and into autumn. The stems rise from deep green, spiky-looking foliage and the fragrant flowers will be a magnet for pollinating insects. Ideal for providing height and interest to sunny borders and wildlife gardens. In autumn, the tubers will need to be lifted. Height: 30-60cm (1-2ft).
