Eryngium variifolium 'Miss Marbel'

A robust and low maintenance perennial which is perfect for providing architecture and interest to your sunny borders. The rigid stalks of Eryngium variifolium ?Miss Marble? hold dark blue, thistle-like flowers surrounded by long, spiky bracts above rosettes of deep green foliage with silver veining. Sea hollies will flower from July to September and look very effective planted amongst other drought-tolerant perennials such as Kniphofia and Perovskia. Ideal for gap-filling and small, sunny borders where it will be adored by bees and butterflies. Cut down in the autumn or leave it until spring so you can enjoy the attractive dried seed heads during winter. Height: 40cm (16?). Spread: 20cm (8?).
