Product Description
Rugs from Agnella's Noble collection are woven from undyed British wool. Eliminating the dyeing process saves energy and water, making production processes more environmentally friendly. By combining cut pile, loops, and flat weaving, these rugs feature a three-dimensional effect and an interesting texture. This rug's remarkable design is inspired by the V&A's collection of tapa fabric, derived from the bark of the paper mulberry tree, Broussonetia papyrifera, which Pacific Islanders have been producing for millennia. The distinctive patterns, made through a variety of effects such as stamping, painting, stencilling, printing, staining and smoking, were appreciated for their abstraction as much as their symbolic meaning. The captivating decoration from a piece from the 1800s has been reimagined as a stunning décor item that blends perfectly into current interiors. - woven with a British undyed wool blend - naturally hypoallergenic - the surface of the wool fleece traps dust and other impurities which keeps them from spreading in the air, a great solution for people with asthma or allergies - easy to maintain - a wool pile has a natural protective layer provided by the natural oils in the sheep fleece which prevents dirt from sticking to the fibre and makes it easily removable - excellent sound absorber - renewable raw material - undyed wool fibre is 100% biodegradable and fully renewable making a wool rug an eco-friendly option - air purification - positive air ions are created by electrical equipment inside our homes, there is sufficient evidence to suggest that these have a negative effect on health; as a natural material wool creates negative ions which helps to neutralise the air - naturally flame-retardant - owing to the natural properties of the fibre, wool rugs are flame retardant; in case of a fire, wool does not transmit the flame and does not melt - British Wool License confirming that for rug production we use the best quality wool from the UK - an investment for years - using quality yarns and expert manufacturing you can be sure that our wool rug will stand the test of time"
