Striped Clay and Pink Vase

Dolomite, hand-cast and glazed, with pink stripes applied by hand — the slight variation in each band the evidence of that process. At 26cm the proportions are generous without demanding attention; the clay body warm enough to hold its own beside stronger objects, considered enough to sit beside quieter ones. The stripes are not decoration applied to a form. They are the form's logic, the decision that makes it worth choosing.
