Tenancy Training

This tenancy training course looks to educate first time tenants by exploring need to know topics such as how to find accommodation, managing finances, debt and budgeting, tenancy agreements and setting up basic utilities. Learners will be provided with the information they need to avoid anti-social behaviour and how to be a good neighbour. Additional information within the course include the basics of finding and viewing a property and the practicalities of running a new home - including paying rent, opening a bank account and getting advice on the services and support available. This course covers the following areas: Finding a social housing home Finding a private rented home Social Housing tenancies explained Manging your finances Setting up your new home and managing your tenancy Being a good neighbour Your New Home – Basic health and safety Your New Home – Basic DIY All our courses are created with the learner in mind. Previously known as Pre-tenancy Training for New Tenants, this course has been refreshed with up to date and relevant content with new topics added such as Finding a Private Rented Home and Your New Home Basics. Accreditation The content of this course has been independently certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines. Certification On completion of this course learners will be able to download a CPD approved Virtual College certificate. Duration Approximately 1-2 study hours. The length of time taken depends entirely on how quickly learners can study and absorb the material. Target Audience This course is aimed primarily at first time tenants or existing tenants wanting to develop their knowledge and skills.
