Traditional synthetic refrigerants are not only greenhouse gases thousands of times more potent than CO² , but once in the atmosphere they’re almost impossible to breakdown, which is why they’ve become known as ‘forever chemicals’. As a completely natural refrigerant, R290 promises all the cooling performance required but without the toxic legacy of forever chemicals. Not only that, R290 also has a greater coefficient of performance, meaning better energy efficiency and lower running costs, as well as a GWP (Global Warming Potential) of just 3, compared to R410a’s GWP of 2033, and an ozone depletion rate of 0. And what’s more; with up to 4kW of cooling delivered at up to 800m³/hr there is absolutely no compromise in performance.
