From the heart of Portugal’s historic Dão wine region, the 2017 Kelman Tinto Blend is crafted by the Kelman family, who cultivate 6 hectares of traditional Portuguese grape varieties. Planted in 2000, their vineyards sit inland, 120km southeast of Porto, benefiting from warm, dry summers and abundant winter rain—ideal for balanced, expressive wines. This vegan-friendly red captures the unique terroir and legacy of one of Portugal’s oldest demarcated DOCs.. TASTING NOTES. This structured yet elegant red blend is vivid and aromatic, with intense wild blackberry fruit and subtle spice from 12 months in second-fill French oak barrels. The Touriga Nacional component contributes violet floral notes, layered over supple tannins and a smooth, lingering dark fruit finish.. FOOD PAIRING.
