Fontanabianca's generic Barbaresco is sourced from vineyards in the village of Neive, with vines having prime southern and western exposure. The wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks before being matured in large oak barrels for 10-12 months. This elegant, juicy, and harmonious wine provides a delicious entry-point to the stunning wines of the Barbaresco region. Founded by Aldo Pola's father, Franco, in 1969, the Fontanabianca estate has strong links with the Neive village. The family owns two single vineyards in Neive – Cru Bordini and Serraboella – where Nebbiolo thrives and produces fragrant and elegant examples of the region and variety year after year. The wine is made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes and is suitable for both men and women. It is a dry wine with an ABV of 14.5% and is best consumed between 2023 and 2038. It pairs well with lamb.
