Perched high up on the windswept Schapenberg, overlooking False Bay and The Atlantic Ocean, the farm focuses on living soils and a natural approach to winemaking. Each single-varietal wine in the Circumstance range is defined by the circumstances influencing the chosen varietal and vineyard blocks, including soil, aspect, altitude and vintage. These factors result in low yields, balanced grapes and wines with a true sense of place. The nose is redolent of Manuka honey and yellow pollen. The palate is soft and creamy with citrus, minerality, waxy lanolin notes and honey. The palate weight and Vouvray-like body support further complexity and decadence.
