Thompson and Morgan Miscanthus Grass Zebrinus Plant in Pot 9cm

A striking addition to any garden, Miscanthus Zebrinus, commonly known as Zebra Grass, is sure to draw admiring glances. Its blade-like, green leaves are distinctly marked with random, horizontal cream stripes. Perfect as a standalone feature or planted in groups within a herbaceous border. In autumn, it produces impressive flower plumes high above the foliage, which last well into the winter months, adding interest when other plants are dormant.This easy-to-grow variety has been awarded an RHS Award of Garden Merit, confirming its reliable performance. Position in full sun and plant in fertile, moist but well-drained soil. It's best to improve drainage on heavy soils before planting by incorporating well-rotted compost and grit, as it dislikes overly wet winter conditions. Water and feed regularly until fully established. In early spring, cut back the dead foliage and stems to ground level before new growth appears.
