White caps, polished copper cores: two-bulb pendant light Acorn The pendant light Acorn, with its two lampshades which visibly pay homage to the acorn, is a real eye-catcher. This popular fruit of the oak tree was the inspiration for the design and the name of Acorn. The lampshades consist clear glass with an unobstructed view of the light bulb, as well as a white cap made of silicone in each case. The socket core made of metal with a polished copper finish acts as the “fruit”. The lustre of the metal is transferred to the emitted light, which lights up the surrounding area very cosily. Acorn is a design by Jacob Rudbeck from Denmark, who is guided by the beauty and diversity of nature in his work for well-known design labels in Scandinavia, for example. This is combined with the two-bulb suspension system Cannonball Cluster by the designer Søren Ravn Christensen to create the two-bulb pendant light Acorn. The two lampshades can be suspended at different heights. This harmonious combination is sold by the Danish lighting manufacturer UMAGE, whose objective is to further develop the appealing design of Scandinavia with its puristic beauty and its functionality and to produce lights to a high standard of quality with timeless aesthetics.
