The lampshades and the suspension system are individual designs by Jacob Rudbeck and Søren Ravn Christensen respectively. Jacob Rudbeck was inspired by nature in the lampshade design, which is reflected not only in the shape of the lampshades, but also in the name. Both were inspired by the acorn. Rudbeck transferred the rounded square shape of the acorn to his lampshades. With the cap made of silicone, the walls made of clear glass and the copper-coloured metal core, he has perfected the use of the acorn as a basis. Søren Ravn Christensen’s suspension system Cannonball Cluster rounds off the lampshades to form a three-bulb hanging light, which can even be varied in its appearance by attaching the lampshades at the same height or at different heights. The Danish lighting manufacturer UMAGE dedicates its product line to the further development of Scandinavian design. This combines beauty, simplicity and functionality and rounds it all off with careful craftsmanship and environmental friendliness.
