Designer pendant light Silk with organically shaped glass shade The name of the Silk series of lights is derived from the design, which appears to be borrowed from nature. The look of the lampshade is reminiscent of the cocoon of a silkworm. The organic shape of the white glass shade forms a fascinating contrast to the linear and elegant brass suspension. The Silk pendant light is an eye-catcher as a stand-alone piece and creates a pleasant lighting atmosphere all round, e.g. as a light source above a table. When hung in a group or at different heights, the decorative effect, which is already visible when unlit, is further emphasised. The design for the Silk pendant light comes from the manufacturing company Frandsen, which has been based in Skanderborg, Denmark, since 1972. Benny Frandsen, the founder of Frandsen, is an electrical engineer by training with a passion for the development and production of high-quality design products. Traditional craftsmanship is used and the focus is on high functionality.
