After enjoying a good bottle of red wine, Ingo Maurer was lying on the bed in his hotel when he caught sight of what he says was a beautiful 15 watt traditional light bulb on the ceiling above him. The same night, Maurer began the first draft of the design for the table lamp Bulb, with which he manages to pay homage to the traditional light bulb. Previously, the most important requirement placed on the design of lights was that they should conceal the light bulb as well as possible, and that the actual actual light source should remain hidden.
