You cannot connect it directly to the mains because doing so may ruin your lights. To know what kind of LED driver to use, you ll have to do simple math! Since this COB strip runs at 14 watts per metre , you ll have to multiply the number of meters you re using by 14 watts and then round up to the nearest available LED driver. So, if you re using 5 metres, multiply it by 14 watts, and the driver you ll need is 100 watts (next available driver). Remember to always round up to what your strips require! An LED profile is a housing where you encase your strip lights to make them look more elegant and presentable. Aside from that, it keeps your strip lights safe from curious fingers, dust and dirt.
