Carex acuta (Marginal Aquatic)

Carex acuta is a British native perennial that can be found in streams, lakes and rivers throughout the British Isles but is rarely available to purchase! This Slender-tufted Sedge produces clumps of tall, grassy stems that provide superb cover for wildlife. In midsummer, long, fluffy, brown flower spikes will appear above the foliage to add further texture and interest. Ideal for ponds, streams, bog gardens and wildlife areas with wet soil. Height: 90cm (36). Spread: 50cm (20). Planting depth: Zone 1 & 2 to 15cm (6) below water level.
