Pontederia cordata var. lanceolata (Marginal Aquatic)

Pontederia cordata var. lanceolata is considerably taller than the common Pickerel Weed, making a real statement at the margins of ponds. The narrowly heart-shaped foliage is borne on upright stems forming dense clumps. This free flowering variety blooms throughout summer - the blue flower spikes held conspicuously above the foliage.
