Colocasia esculenta (Marginal Aquatic)

Add some tropical flair to your water garden with this exotic marsh plant. Colocasia esculenta features huge, heart shaped, boldly-veined leaves up to 60cm in length that rise on metre-long stalks - creating a lush jungle vibe in ponds, bog gardens and containers. From midsummer, spathe-like yellow flowers nestle amongst the impressive foliage. This architectural plant makes a strong statement grown in container ponds or well-watered pots and looks fabulous in urban gardens or as part of an exotic display.
