Product Description
Epipactis palustris, known as marsh helleborine, is a captivating native orchid that grows in damp, lime-rich soils but is becoming increasingly scarce in the wild. From June to August, it bears flower spikes each with up to 20 dangling flowers with reddish-pink wings and frilled white lips. Epipactis palustris makes a unique addition to bog gardens or pond margins especially on chalky soils. Over time, plants spread by creeping rhizomes to form impressive colonies. Its exquisite appearance and scarcity in the wild make it a true talking point for naturalistic or wildlife-focused planting schemes. Ultimate height and spread: 30-50cm (20in).
