Munstead' Lavender, a celebrated English Lavender variety, has long been appreciated for its impressive garden performance, tolerance to dry conditions, and overall hardiness, not to mention its stunning display of colour and scent. This particular variety boasts compact, bushy foliage, complemented by relatively long flowering stems in summer, creating a relaxed aesthetic. Establishing quickly, it's ideally suited for low hedges, edging pathways, or filling spaces at the front of sunny borders and large patio containers.Throughout the year, the aromatic, silver-grey, evergreen foliage offers structure, colour and fragrance. During the summer months, expect a magnificent show of fragrant lilac-mauve flowers, which are irresistible to bees and butterflies. These fragrant blooms are suitable as fresh cut flowers and are also ideal for drying.Simple to look after, drought-tolerant and requiring minimal upkeep, it thrives in a sunny location with well-draining soil. Lavender dislikes wet ground, particularly in winter. Improve heavy soil by incorporating coarse grit or sharp sand before planting. Water regularly during the summer until the lavender plants are fully established. Once established, they exhibit reasonable drought tolerance.Position: Full Sun.
