Decaisnea fargesii

Decaisnea fargesii is a very large, relatively slow growing, upright, multi-stemmed, open, deciduous shrub with bold, divided leaves up to 90cm long which are tinged with blue in spring, and turn clear yellow in autumn. Long sprays of insignificant, green or yellow-green flowers in early summer are followed in autumn by metallic-looking, deep blue fruit with gelatinous flesh in bean-like pods up to 10cm long. Height 301cm+.
