Anemone coronaria 'Lord Lieutenant'

With multiple layers of violet-blue petals surrounding a dark navy button, the handsome uniform of this dandy lieutenant is sure to lord over the spring garden.The large, intensely-coloured blooms of Anemone coronaria ‘Lord Lieutenant’ float on sturdy stems above a low spread of deeply dissected foliage. This ostentatious variety makes a long-lasting cut flower for a spring bouquet or displayed in bud vases. Run these bulbs along the edge of the border where you can admire them up close, or enjoy them as a spring feature on the patio planted into pots and troughs.  Bulbs planted in autumn will flower in spring, whilst spring plantings will flower in late summer/autumn.
