Rhododendron 'Klondyke' (Azalea Group)

Rhododendron 'Klondyke' is a colourful hybrid from the deciduous Azalea group. The fragrant, flame orange flowers appear in late spring, just as the foliage is emerging. Young leaves are copper coloured, maturing through green to vibrant shades of red that will re-ignite fading autumn borders. This hardy shrub makes an excellent choice for acid borders or planted at the edge of woodland. Like all Azaleas, it is particularly useful for cold, north facing positions.
