Product Description
Reminiscent of a Buddleja but actually in the mint family, Rostrinucula dependens is an unusual shrub that was only introduced from China in 1985 and is rarely found in gardens. From late summer to autumn, arching stems bear long, pendulous racemes with downy, grey bracts that open into mauve flowers with distinctive whiskers. Mature shrubs in full flower create an eye-catching display with showers of weeping flowers at the ends of the branches from August to October. The aromatic, mid-green leaves have grey felted undersides and are similar to those of Buddleja. This rare shrub will attract the attention of butterflies as well as keen plant collectors! Height and Spread: 1-1.5m (3.2 - 4.9ft).
