Wisteria Trio

This beautiful trio of deciduous, twining climbers produces graceful tumbling racemes of lightly fragranced, pea-like blooms that hang from bare stems in May and June, just as the leaves begin to appear. Our Wisteria Trio will create a magnificent summer display, covering pergolas and walls and can grow up to 9 metres in height and 5 metres across. A must-have for any cottage garden! Height: 9m (30'). Spread: 5m (16'). Wisteria Trio comprises the following varieties: Wisteria sinensis 'Rosea' ? A stunning pink form of the much-loved Chinese wisteria. Gently scented, pea-like flowers that drip from bare stems in late spring, just as the foliage begins to emerge. Wisteria 'Prolific' - Wonderfully scented free-flowering lilac-blue racemes. Wisteria floribunda 'Alba' - Long racemes of pristine white, pea-like flowers. Each raceme reaches up to 45cm (18) long with a heavenly sweet scent. RHS AGM. Culinary note: The flowers are the only edible part of the plant and can be made into an aromatic wine. Their flavour is perfumed. Caution: All other parts of wisteria are poisonous.
