Campanula zangezura

Campanula zangezura is a relatively short-lived perennial but well worth the effort. It forms a rosette of softly-hairy leaves that may grow for several years before it produces its silver-blue, bell-shaped blooms. Campanula zangezura is commonly monocarpic, dying away after flowering, but has a tendency to self-seed once the flowers fade, providing plenty of replacement plants. This unusual species is ideal for planting in stone wall crevices or filling the gaps between paving stones. Height and spread: 30cm (12).
