Penstemon pinifolius 'Mersea Yellow'

Penstemon pinifolius ?Mersea Yellow? is more compact compared to border hybrid penstemons and much prefers rockeries, gravel areas and patio pots. This beard tongue has a spreading habit and produces fine, evergreen, pine needle-like foliage with upward-facing, yellow, tube-shaped blooms bursting into colour from June to July. Treat this penstemon as an alpine and plant in a sunny position with free-draining soil. Height: 30cm (12in). Spread: 40cm (16in).
