Salvia 'Blue Queen'

A compact, dwarf variety which is ideal for smaller gardens and narrow borders or for growing in a patio pot. Salvia ?Blue Queen? produces dense flower spikes of small, vibrant blue blooms with deep purple bracts, above neat rosettes of foliage from June to August. Flower spikes will appear in succession below the main spike making this a particularly long-flowering variety which, with regular deadheading, with elongate the flowering period further. Excellent resistance to drought and loved by pollinating insects, this salvia is ideal for adding vertical interest to sunny borders and cottage and wildlife gardens. Height & Spread: 40cm (16?).
