Rhododendron 'Horizon Monarch'

The magnificent trusses of Rhododendron ?Horizon Monarch? hold up to 15 red buds which open from May to June to reveal large, trumpet-like flowers in cream-yellow, blushed with pink-red streaks. The soft palette of this award-winning Rhododendron offers a sophisticated alternative to the more vibrant-coloured varieties, contrasting wonderfully against a background of deep green, leathery leaves. Rhododendron 'Horizon Monarch' grows into a dense, rounded shrub that makes a wonderful focal point and is great for creating hedge screening. An excellent evergreen shrub for brightening a dull spot in woodland borders with acid soil. An extremely low maintenance variety which will live for decades and has superb disease resistance.
