This giant flowering form produces blooms almost twice the size of the original, whilst retaining the sumptuously dark petals that set 'Roesse Blacky' out from the crowd.So now you can experience double the size and double the colour in your patio containers and border displays. Another outcome of the breeding programme is a more relaxed habit compared to the original, making Fuchsia 'Blacky', a stand-out selection for use in hanging baskets, as well as patio tubs and containers.Flowering from mid-summer right through to the first hard frost of late autumn, this is the perfect fuchsia for low input gardening, coping well in shade as well as full sun. Although not fully hardy, like many of our other modern fuchsia varieties, this 'tough' tender perennial easily returns the following spring to bloom all over again if given a sheltered spot over winter.
