Wisteria brachybotrys 'Okayama'

Wisteria brachybotrys 'Okayama' is a robust twining climber that quickly covers large walls or fences in colour. Its lovely flowers will start to emerge once the long, elegant leaves have emerged and covered the vertical surface in rich green foliage. The hanging sprays of lilac blooms can be up to 15cm (6) long and are also highly fragrant, making it a beautiful sight to witness when seen in mass and a much-admired plant by anyone who sees it during the summer months. It is also known as the Silky Wisteria due to its velvety leaflets along the main leaf stem. Height: 9m (29'). Spread: 5m (16').
