Cotoneaster horizontalis

Cotoneaster horizontalis blooms in May with small pink-white flowers that are followed by shiny red berries in autumn, luring a variety of birds to the garden. As the temperature drops, the oval-shaped, dark green leaves turn lovely shades of burned orange and red before falling to reveal a silvery brown structure of branches. The spreading stems make an excellent groundcover and an especially eye-catching wall shrub when trained onto wires. This deciduous shrub is also well-known for its distinctive herringbone branching pattern. Height: 100cm (39). Spread: 150cm (59).
