Rhododendron 'Dusty Miller' Yakushimanum Hybrid

This Rhododendron forms a compact, rounded, evergreen shrub with deep silver-green foliage. Vibrant pink buds will erupt in late spring to reveal light, cream-pink, trumpet-like blooms with rose-pink margins, and fade to cream as they mature. Rhododendron ?Dusty Miller? is ideal for growing in containers in limited growing spaces such as terraces and courtyards, as well as small gardens with lime-free soil. Yakushimanum Rhododendrons are fully hardy, cope well in full sun, have a rounded, compact habit and are slow-growing, staying small for many years. Although small, they are reliably floriferous, boasting large, showy blooms. They are also renowned for their good health - partly due to the silvery hairs that cover the foliage, providing a barrier against diseases and pests.
