Scabiosa columbaria 'Pincushion Blue'

?Pincushion Blue? is an elegant Scabiosa that adds vibrancy, architectural height and drama wherever placed in the garden. It blooms from June until September and generates delicate clusters in a shade of lavender blue ? they comfortably sit on wiry stems amongst fresh green foliage, that forms in fine clumps. This excellent hardy perennial makes a beautiful patio shrub and adds lots of decoration to pretty decking areas, outdoor seating areas and balconies. Easy to care for, this Scabiosa is superb for growing in a low maintenance garden and would also work well in cottage and wildlife gardening schemes. Its showy balls of lavender flowers are nectar rich and attract lots of bees and butterflies all year round, they enjoy full sun to grow and will develop in overall height to 30cm, along with a spread of 50cm.
