The Syringa double lilac 'Madame Lemoine' is an easy-to-grow variety, producing nectar-rich, fragrant flowers that are irresistible to butterflies. Boasting strong, spreading branches adorned with double white blooms and heart-shaped foliage, this lilac makes a superb specimen shrub for any cottage garden and requires minimal upkeep. Reaching a height and spread of up to 7m.A culinary suggestion: infuse cream cheese or yoghurt with the fragrant flowers for a subtle lemon flavour.For best results, pot up lilac plants and nurture them until they are sufficiently developed for planting in their permanent positions.
