Campanula takesimana

Campanula takesimana has arched stems with glossy, toothed foliage and huge pendant, bell-shaped flowers. The pink-flushed blooms are worth a closer look because the insides of each flower are covered in deep maroon freckles. This sturdy perennial has a fast growth habit and will quickly form big clusters in borders quickly. It favours a daintily shaded location, making it ideal for underplanting trees and shrubs or filling in the garden's darker borders.
