Product Description
Once sown, these hidden gems will be ready to emerge from bare winter soil, dispelling doom and reviving your garden. The Spring Bulbs Mixed Flowering Collection is the perfect spring pick-me-up! It includes the following types: 1. Allium 'Karataviense' (5 bulbs): This RHS AGM variety makes an excellent dried bloom and is perfect for rock gardens. It is a very unique allium from the Kazakhstani mountains. In May and June, globular heads of starry, pinkish-white flowers emerge from between a pair of extraordinary broad, glaucous leaves, which are in and of themselves a stunning characteristic. Height and spread: 25cm. 2. Ipheion (30 bulbs): In the autumn, clumps of bright green foliage emerge, followed by an abundance of colourful, star-shaped flowers in the spring. These simple-to-grow bulbs are perfect for borders and patio containers, where they will provide a lovely spring display. The flowers also have a deliciously sweet honey scent. Height: 15cm (6). Spread: 5cm (2). 3. Ixiolirion tartarica (20 bulbs): From May to July, the stunning flowers of the Blue Mountain Lily appear in a frenzy of royal blue trumpets carried on upright stems. Ixiolirion is hardy if grown in sheltered borders, but it also looks great in a container. Height: 30cm (10). Spread: 10cm (4). 4. Puschkinia libanotica (20 bulbs): The Russian Snowdrop is one of the most beautiful spring bulbs. The gleaming white blooms are produced in dense clusters, each with a pale blue stripe. This hardy and dependable bulb flourishes in hot summers when its bulbs can bake in the sun. Plant them in borders and rockeries, or let them grow naturally in grass. Height: 15cm (6). Spread: 10cm (4). 5. Triteleia Queen Fabiola (25 bulbs): In late spring and early summer, starry clusters of deep blue flowers burst from clumps of fine, grass-like foliage. Individual flowers continue to open for a month or more, extending the bloom period. These plants attract butterflies and insects and also work well as a long-lasting cut flower. Height: 30cm. Spread: 15cm (6).
