Its dainty, dwarf form belies its striking beauty – pointed white petals open to reveal a steely blue eye and bold black stamens, an extraordinary colour combination not found in other tulips.Flowering in March and early April, it’s perfect for containers where its detail can be fully appreciated. Thriving in well-drained soil, it’s ideal for dotting through rockeries, where it will happily naturalise and return year after year. Ultimate height: 15cm (6in) to 25cm (10in).
