Aronia melanocarpa 'Professor Ed'

This deciduous shrub produces dainty clusters of small white flowers in late spring which are followed by black berries in autumn. The berries are edible but have a sharp flavour so they are best used in jams and jellies. As autumn approaches, the foliage of Aronia melanocarpa ?Professor Ed? will transform to striking shades of orange-red. Height and spread 120cm (48?).
